The copper content may react with skin acidity, potentially leaving a greenish mark, especially with rings. While harmless, if this concerns you, consider alternatives like 925 sterling silver or 18k gold plated. Brass jewelry may oxidize naturally. A surface phenomenon, oxidation can be reversed by cleaning with a suitable cloth. For a vintage look, no extra care is required. To prevent skin marks, remove jewelry before sleeping or activities causing sweating. For oxidation prevention, store items in a sealed container, avoid exposure to saline or chlorinated waters, keep away from high humidity areas, and steer clear of lotions and perfumes.
